Why I built this.

I grew up off the grid in Alaska, spent 20 years as an executive assistant, then got laid off at 38.

A receptionist job at a salon wasn't part of some master plan. It was a paycheck while I figured out what came next.

At 40, I went back to school for esthetics. It wasn't a fallback. It was something I'd wanted to do since I was a teenager, but never had the opportunity. Sixteen years later, I'm still an esthetician, still teach the lash certification program at my local community college, and still use the curriculum I wrote myself.

Then my hands started reminding me they had limits.

When your income depends on your body, your body eventually gets a vote.

Around the same time, AI exploded onto the scene. I assumed it wasn't for someone like me. Every tutorial seemed to skip the part where beginners actually get lost.

Then I stopped trying to write perfect prompts and simply started having conversations.

Everything changed.

I didn't become a programmer overnight. I just built one practical workflow after another until I realized AI wasn't about being technical. It was about solving real problems.

That's why I built Simply Doing AI.

For the small business owners who are brilliant at what they do. They don't need a course. They need their Tuesday back.
